Responsibilities will include working with product development engineers to finalize and detail drawings. Responsibilities will also include working with manufacturing and prototype shop personnel. Job Type: Full Time Minimum requirements include: 1. Minimum of 5 years of experience related to CAD design (ProE preferred)
2. Experience with GD&T, FEA

4. Excellent communication and organizational skills to interact with engineers, machinists, and management
5. Strong mechanical and problem solving skills
6. Working knowledge of machine shop principals, and various manufacturing processes is required Experience in highly regulated, precision manufacturing environment, and FDA regulatory agencies a plus. Product Development Engineer

Position Summary:
Theken Spine, an Akron, OH based spinal company, is seeking a highly motivated product development engineer. Theken Spine is an FDA registered, ISO 13485 certified medical device manufacturer. Responsibilities will include working with leading surgeons in the medical industry to design and develop innovative products for the spinal market. Minimum requirements include: 1. BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
2. Minimum 5 years of product development experience related to the design, development, and manufacture of medical implants and instruments
3. Experience with 3D CAD (such as Pro/E), GD&T, FEA
4. Project management & documentation with design controls, risk analysis, etc.
5. Established track record of launching new medical devices products on time
6. Excellent communication skills to interact with surgeons, engineers, machinists etc.
7. Strong mechanical and problem solving skills
8. Working knowledge of machine shop practices and processes
